The Policy Innovation Lab (PIL) is an intensive, applied policy course at Heinz College that prepares students to become public interest technologists who are creative, ethical, inclusive, and responsive.
This 3-month hybrid, tuition-free and highly participatory program invites journalists to explore generative AI through theory and practice, and add meaningfully to the conversation.
The Civic Service Design minor draws upon a practice and subfield of research and theory that connect to design, social theory, and public policy and management frameworks, methods, and tools to reformulate participation and decision making in the creation of public policies, programs, and services, with the goal of fostering more just and equitable cities and societies.
