The Apptivists is an organizing effort gathering activist developers into a Discord community to brainstorm civic project ideas, prioritize the most promising, and collaboratively ship quick MVPs, with an in-progress real-time boycott app as its first pitch.
Framed as a response to political frustration and inspired by the outsized impact of tools like Resistbot, The Apptivists invites developers to contribute time and expertise to civic-minded projects built collectively as fast MVPs. It functions as a volunteer builder collective coordinating through Discord, open both to people with projects that need technical help and to those wanting to pitch in.
