Fund Your Mission, Cause or Idea. One Block at a Time.
## About GoodGrid.io **What is GoodGrid?** GoodGrid is a visual fundraising platform for nonprofits, creators, startups, community causes and individuals. It lets people “buy” or sponsor blocks (or pixels) on a digital grid; those blocks can carry an image, logo, message, or link. The grid is a public, visual display of support. Each block represents a supporter, contributing financially to a campaign. The idea combines elements of crowdfunding (raising money for causes, ideas, projects) with the aesthetic and public engagement of a pixel / block grid (somewhat reminiscent of the “Million Dollar Homepage” but more democratic and for many campaigns). ## History & Timeline - GoodGrid launched in **March 2025**. - The initial campaign (“GoodGrid” campaign) is being used to both fund the platform itself and to demonstrate how campaigns on GoodGrid work. - It is still relatively new, so many of its projects are early stage. But the foundational infrastructure is in place: campaign creation, block selection, public grid, social sharing tools. ## Who it’s for GoodGrid is for: - Individuals who want to raise money for personal goals, emergencies, or milestones. - Creators: artists, makers, writers, filmmakers, indie game developers etc. who want to fund projects or build early backers/supporters in a visible way. - Non-profits and community causes, including charity, community improvement, environmental projects, etc. - Educational projects: schools, students, course or scholarship funding. - Entrepreneurs / startups launching products or MVPs who want an early-adopter or supporter base visible in a community or network-driven way ## How People Can Help / Get Involved There are several ways people can contribute, support or engage with GoodGrid, depending on their interests: **Sponsor Blocks / Back Campaigns** One of the simplest ways is to join existing campaigns: buy a block on a grid you care about. This gives direct support and helps build momentum and visibility. (E.g. sponsoring a block in the GoodGrid platform’s own campaign.) **Start a Campaign** If you have a cause, project, or idea, you can run your own GoodGrid campaign. This helps you raise funds, but also shows the platform’s utility and spreads awareness. **Share & Promote** Whether you’re a campaign creator, a block sponsor, or just a supporter, sharing GoodGrid campaigns on social media, in your network, or via word of mouth is crucial. The platform is built to benefit from virality. **Feedback & Feature Ideas** Being early means there’s room to help shape the product. Giving feedback, suggesting improvements, identifying bugs, or expressing what features you need helps the platform improve. **Partnerships** If you're part of a nonprofit, creative organisation, school, or other community-driven initiative, partnering with GoodGrid could be beneficial: using it as a fundraising tool, or even helping integrate with other services.
