ILDA was founded in 2012 as a research program that sought to promote and understand the use of open data in Latin America.
DATA Uruguay is a civil society organization founded in April 2012 that works on open government, open data, access to public information and participation through the use of civic technology. It is a horizontal organization based on consensus and the vast majority of the projects are co-created with expert partners on the subject (Government, Academia, Media, other Civil Society organizations) or with the community.
