The UK government is launching a £100 million Innovation Fund to deploy 'crack' teams of problem solvers across the country to apply a 'test and learn' mindset to improving public services and delivering the government's Plan for Change. The initiative aims to make the state more 'start-up' like by encouraging tech workers to join government on short-term 'Tours of Duty' and having frontline public service workers take up secondments in central government.
