Touchstone began as an effort to modernize and improve field operations infrastructure for political campaigns and organizing programs. We saw a need for a platform that went beyond basic canvassing tools by combining territory management, voter targeting, survey scripting, real-time activity monitoring, GPS-based quality control, analytics, and operational reporting into a single system.
The platform is designed for campaigns, advocacy organizations, coordinated programs, and large-scale field teams that need better visibility into canvasser performance, data quality, and voter contact operations. It’s especially useful for organizations managing multiple districts, large volunteer or paid canvassing programs, and data-driven turnout or persuasion efforts.
Since development began, the project has evolved into a comprehensive field operations platform capable of handling territory assignment, branching scripts, demographic cross-tabs, nightly QC exports, activity monitoring, and near-real-time operational analytics. The goal has always been to improve accountability, reporting accuracy, and overall campaign efficiency while giving organizers better tools to measure and optimize voter outreach.

On May 1, 2025 (Law Day), lawyers across the country are encouraged to participate in #ReaffirmTheOath—a nonpartisan, nonpolitical national grassroots effort empowering lawyers in communities large and small to speak out, stand together, and publicly renew their commitment to the Constitution and the rule of law.
