A smart city framework created by the city of Vienna
The initiative was launched in 2011 under the aegis of Mayor Michael Häupl. Work on the Framework Strategy commenced in 2013, and the publication is available as of now. All municipal departments as well as many experts active in the sciences and business both inside and outside the Vienna City Administration have contributed to this document. The exchange conducted with other European cities could serve as a stimulus for creating a network of European smart cities.
