Data Zetu Intiaitive
Data Zetu (“Our Data” in Swahili) aims to empower communities to make better, more evidence-based decisions to improve their lives.
Small Hassles Court is a digital game where players practice different approaches to interpersonal conflict resolution and self-governance.
The court is situated within the broader narrative world and landscape of Twisterland, an online game world designed by Plot Twisters that fosters self-reflection and emotional literacy. The Governable Spacemakers Fellowship was designed to support the extension of governance capabilities in an already existing digital art artifact or world. The fellowship invited a team of three fellows to combine artistic, technical, and ethnographic methods to produce an interactive online space for exploring a particular aspect of self-governance, as well as a speculative ethnography detailing their the team's working process and the implications of their work in the context of an evolving landscape of where and how governance happens online.
