The Democracy Futures Project is an initiative to develop the capacity of philanthropies to think long-term about American democracy.
A global learning platform for inquiry, leadership, and civic imagination, powered by award-winning short documentaries from around the world.
SIMA Academy began as an extension of the Social Impact Media Awards, transforming awarded films into a curated civic learning infrastructure for classrooms, communities, and leadership programs worldwide. It serves educators, students, and institutions seeking to strengthen critical thinking, media literacy, and democratic participation through real-world application, leadership development, and cultural exchange. Today, it reaches over 160,000 learners across 140+ countries, equipping the next generation with tools for discernment and informed civic engagement.
