Our mission is to maximize the availability and impact of data for public good.
In order for data to be leveraged for public good, relevant data first needs to be accessible and useable by nonprofits, government, and civil society. We have developed a framework for understanding the environment required to increase the supply and use of socially impactful data. A core focus of our work revolves around developing strategies, policies, and legislation which will encourage the development of robust data infrastructure in the social sector. Our work is grounded in the belief that well-designed data infrastructure—practices, data standards, and/or digital technology—will lead to greater availability and use of data for the social sector.
