Não Vale Tudo

Brazil

Nao Vale Tudo is an open letter to Brazilian society urging that all political parties, candidates, citizens, etc. take a strong stand against information disorder. It is a code of ethics for politicians, civic groups and parties to follow developed during 2018 Brazilian election cycle, these focused on principles around the non-use of computational propaganda techniques such as bot or troll networks, non-promotion of false claims, transparency around campaign use of private user data and non abuse and the promotion of a free and open information space. Politicians and parties could signal their support through social media posts tagging the phrase #naovaletudo, which was supported by a wide coalition of CSOs.
