The 2024 King's Speech announced 40 key policies designed to put Britain back on track. The changes aren't clear yet. What's happening to the Labour reforms? We track the bills announced in the King's Speech.
Problem Addressed Members of the public frequently ask what Labour is doing for them. One of the biggest problems faced by modern political parties is disenfranchised voters who genuinely dont know what their reperesentatives are doing. One response to this is to ask what we can do to make an often onerous and opaque legislative process more transparent and easy to navigate both for members of the public and for political communicators such as activists. Approach & Implementation Campaign Lab volunteer Dan Gorshev built this tool to help to engage everyone in the legislative process. It tracks 40 key policies announced in the King’s Speech and visualises their progress. It is easy to acess and will be useful for activists who can help build their policy knowledge and also can easily be distributed to members of the public who can see clearly the changes that the labour government is delivering.
