IWGIA promotes and defends Indigenous Peoples’ collective and individual rights with partners in 32 countries.
It brings significant expertise in documentation, advocacy and in promoting the participation of Indigenous communities in decision-making processes. The project will work across 13 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America to leverage digital technologies to strengthen climate activism. This will be done by enhancing technical capacity of Indigenous Peoples Forest and Climate Activists (IPFCA) in using digital technologies; supporting IPFCA, local and regional public interest media, fact-checking organisations, to improve digital literacy in combating climate mis- and disinformation; and finally, by enhancing IPFCA digital resilience and security.
The Digital Trade Alliance is a collaborative effort of digital rights and consumer groups assembled in 2018. The Alliance model provides effective advice and expertise to us in order to structure the transnational debate on digital trade.
The Africa Parliamentary Monitoring Organizations Network (APMON) is a network of non-governmental organizations and coalitions of civil society organizations that monitors the work of and/or regularly engages national, subnational, and regional parliaments across Africa.
