Using modern technologies will facilitate the possibility of public participation, and will provide a platform for people’s active presence in governance, which will lead into the improvement of governance quality

Tehran

Various studies have shown that weakness in Law Enforcement can be known as one of the most important challenges in "Governance Systems", which is known as the main root of many problems in the sphere of governance. This issue can be caused by different factors such as “disorder in some arenas of the country's legal system, lack of knowledge about rules of the country, lack of trying in monitoring rules, and lack of accurate demanding”; therefore, many rules will not come true. Accordingly, there is a high necessity for a public movement in monitoring the rules and executive duties, which needs public participation itself. Nowadays, using modern technologies will facilitate the possibility of public participation, and will provide a platform for people's active presence in governance, which will lead into the improvement of governance quality. One example of such a participation which expressed in various rules and regulations, is monitoring the duties of executive organs. “_Ghanoonban_” website is established based on public participation and crowd-sourcing. This will help institutions and official responsible in order to enforce their duties. Some features of this website are: - Categorizing the duties of executive organs based on “executive body, time of passing the law, and its deadline”; - Registering duties, and reporting the implementation record for the public, and social activists. #Ghanoonban #public\\_participation #civic\\_tech #executive\\_duty
