Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación para el Desarrollo

Active

Since 2001

We are an Ecuadorian nonprofit organization that has been planning and implementing initiatives and projects related to Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) since 2001. This initiative promotes development, social change, and the participation of individuals and communities through their use and adoption. We believe in a world without borders. We believe in a world in which all citizens have the right to access information. We believe in the need to expand the availability of technology in all sectors of the country and the region as a vital contribution to development. We believe in the importance of electronic services for improving governance and transparency. We believe in freedom of expression and choice through the Internet; in the protection of citizens online through the construction and adaptation of applicable legal frameworks. We believe in the urgent need to address the basic needs of communities through cooperative ties supported by real-time communications.
