The Digital Democracy Initiative is an ambitious global effort funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the European Union and implemented in partnership with Access Now, CIVICUS, Digital Defenders Partnership, Global Focus, the International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs (IWGIA), the European Partnership for Democracy, Fondo Mujeres del Sur and WITNESS. The DDI focuses on support to local civil society in the Global South, particularly in countries undergoing democratic regression and where civic space is under pressure.
