The DeepTrust Alliance is a global coalition of stakeholders advancing the fight against digital disinformation and deepfakes.
A 501(c)(6), DeepTrust is the only multi-industry organization using a network approach to create the standards to combat digital fakes. We believe: \- Technology is simply a tool It is only “good” or “bad” depending on how society uses it. \- Open standards and open governance are critical These are collective problems that cannot be solved via proprietary solutions. \- A network approach is vital A complex issue, cross-collaboration is needed to create the standards that verify the origins of content to combat digital fakes. \- Deepfakes are a part of the public record However, they need guardrails, warning labels, and identification as purposeful satire or manipulation.

The CLC is a volunteer network of individuals trained to monitor for, critically evaluate, and report misinformation on diverse topics central to our civic life: voting, elections, public health, civil rights, and other important issues.
