It is one of the largest Civic Tech conferences in Japan with about 1,000 participants in two days.
Since 2014, it has been held in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Niigata, Chiba, and since 2020, online, a total of 7 times. Code for Japan has been active as a member of Brigade for many years in various places, as well as beginners, students, citizens, and the private sector who have recently learned about Civic Tech and are new to Code for Japan activities. Various people such as corporate engineers, designers, business personnel, and local government employees participate. In addition, overseas Civic hackers also participate and take the stage. In addition to learning about domestic and overseas cases, there are many participatory contents such as workshops, and it is a major feature that you can gain new knowledge and meet new people and communities.

Every two years, the World Movement for Democracy’s Global Assembly brings together hundreds of democracy advocates from around the world to foster new networks for mutual solidarity and support across borders.
