SyriaTender (مركز المناقصات السوري) launched in April 2026 to solve a basic transparency problem: Syrian government and public-sector tenders are announced across a scattered mix of official gazettes, ministry channels and organisation pages, so most businesses never see them in time to bid. The platform collects those announcements daily, documents and de-duplicates them, and publishes them in one searchable Arabic interface with free instant alerts by email and Telegram. It now holds more than 1,600 documented tenders from over 800 announcing entities, with roughly 380 open for bidding at any time and about 470 new tenders added each month. It's for Syrian small and medium businesses, contractors and suppliers who want a reachable revenue channel; and journalists and researchers who until now had no structured data on Syrian public procurement. A large share of the announcing entities are humanitarian and development organisations working in Syria — the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, the Norwegian Refugee Council, the Aga Khan Foundation, Oxfam and UNDP among them — so the dataset also maps where reconstruction and aid money is being spent. "We publish an open, automatically updated statistics page that anyone may cite with attribution: https://syriatender.com/stats — monthly publication volume, the most active announcing entities, and the geographic spread across governorates." The core service is free to use. People can help most by citing the statistics page in reporting and research, and by pointing Syrian businesses to it.
